Ananth Pannala, FRSC, is a Pharmaceutical Scientist with over 20 years’ experience in both Academia and the Pharmaceutical Industry. He is the Lead for the Drug Delivery Research Group at the University of Brighton. He has supervised 5 PhD students to completion and over 25 Master’s Research students. His research group works in the development of novel technologies ranging from nano- and micro-encapsulation of active pharmaceutical ingredients using biodegradable carriers, targeted drug delivery using drug loaded gold-nanoparticles to fast dissolving oral films for the delivery of APIs for oral, parenteral, pulmonary and topical drug delivery. His current research projects are funded by the RCUK and in collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry. He has more than 40 publications and presentations in peer- reviewed journals and international conferences.
